Onion

Maraldi Sementi has a long time experience in onion breeding and seed production

The breeding program is aimed to introduce new high-value hybrids suitable for long-term storage, with high uniformity and tolerance to the most common diseases  (Pyrenochaeta terrestris and Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cepae),

The product development process takes place in close contact with qualified partners to validate the most promising hybrids in specific production areas for different production cycles; the assessment of the environmental effect and of the hybrids adaptability to the different areas is of primary importance for obtaining competitive and reliable commercial varieties.
